We are seeking a highly adaptable Technology Specialist with exceptional technical problem-solving skills. The ideal candidate will demonstrate autonomy and independence in their work and possess strong communication abilities to effectively engage with educational professionals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Project Implementation: Assist local IT staff in executing technically challenging medium-scale projects, including procurement support.
• Technical Audits: Conduct audits of key systems and processes to identify threats to effective school operations.
• Problem Solving: Support and challenge local IT and school management to implement necessary changes to address identified issues.
• IT Estate Planning: Provide input for IT estate refresh planning, enabling schools to budget for a highly effective technology infrastructure.
• Training and Development: Offer advice and training to local IT staff to enhance the school's capacity.
• Crisis Management: Provide short-term expert support during times of crisis.

Qualifications:

• Experience in an IT support role, preferably within a school or similar context, though school experience is not essential.
• Strong technical problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication abilities.

This is a field-based role supporting schools' local IT staff with technology projects and problem-solving. You will work within a team of six field-based staff, covering the North England area, with potential involvement in national projects based on your skill set.

The postholder can be based in any location that effectively serves our schools across the North England area.
