What will your role look like?

- Evaluate the benefits of different solutions and carry out detailed ROI assessments based on a good understanding of commercial terms and requirements.
- Design, configure and/or develop prototypes, run proof of concepts, and undertake final builds of new legal technology, services, and solutions (with support from the wider Team and business IT team as required).
- Carry out maintenance of existing legal technology solutions and ensure these continue to deliver value to the business.
- Assist in the integration, configuration, and further customisation of new and existing solutions to include engaging with IT (Business Apps and Core IT) and other stakeholders.
- Undertake stakeholder management and manage change with a view to developing and cultivating relationships with stakeholders.
- Educate and raise awareness of the team’s services and the value they deliver.
- Promote and support use of existing legal technology (e.g., matter management and AI) and encourage innovative uses
- Train users and provide presentations and demos of legal technology solutions and business technology solutions within the Team and be a super user and trainer for users.
- Provide advice and guidance to colleagues on appropriate technology to help improve processes, identify, and capture data and to improve the client experience.
- Explore how the range of data collected by the team can be used to maximum effect, including MI and reporting.
- Become a centre of excellence for how the team uses legal technology, including the creation and maintenance of relevant governance and collateral materials.
To enjoy and succeed in this role, you will have:
- A creative, experimental approach to problem solving with an ability to manage critical issues quickly and effectively
- A strong communicator who can work collaboratively with stakeholders throughout the business at all levels and articulate the value of new solutions, with the ability to be flexible in approach as required
- Deep knowledge of SharePoint, including experience building, managing, and administering sites.
- Early adopter and advocate of technology, market developments and innovations. Broad understanding of legal technology and the digital technology markets
- Broad understanding of solution architecture and quick to understand of how to repurpose technology to solve new problems.
- Some experience in design thinking or similar innovation techniques and methodology.
- Basic project management skills including an understanding of how to interpret stakeholders’ needs and translate them into business/operational requirements.
- Experience in legal technologies, including e-signature, AI, document automation, contract management, legal playbooks, click and accept contracting and matter management is not necessary but would be highly valued.
- Experience using a range of tools and technologies, including other Microsoft products (knowledge of Power Platforms and Dynamics would be particularly advantageous).
- Ability to support on delivering and embedding solutions with particular focus on change management methodologies
We would also encourage applications from candidates who perhaps do not possess all the attributes and experience listed above, but are competent with the majority and would be able to quickly develop the additional skills and experience required in post with our full support.
