Our client, a well known media group, is seeking a Temporary Senior Finance Assistant to join their team for an initial 6 month assignment with the strong potential to extend. The successful candidate will have strong experience with high volume transactions, multiple revenue streams, and be competent in supporting the wider finance function. The role is to start immediately.

Description

The responsibilities of the Temporary Senior Finance Assistant include, but are not limited to:

• Maintain accurate financial records across entities in Xero and produce regular financial reports.
• Oversee accounts receivable, invoicing, client statements, and follow-ups on overdue payments.
• Collaborate with the team to improve financial processes and support operational efficiency.
• Ensure timely and accurate completion of financial reporting and returns for all stakeholders.
• Manage accounts payable, including supplier reconciliation and on-time payments.

Skills

The skills of the Temporary Senior Finance Assistant include, but are not limited to:

• Proven experience in a Finance or Accounts Assistant role, within a similar Media industry.
• Past experience dealing with a high volume of transactions and multiple revenue streams.
• Experience dealing with multi-currency.
• Actively studying or pursuing an accounting qualification (ACCA, CIMA) or holds AAT/QBE.
• Knowledge of accounting tools, specifically Xero.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure, in a fast paced, dynamic environment.
