Field Sales Specialist – Industrial Abrasives

Location: South Wales and South West England

Employment Type: Full-Time, Permanent

Travel: Up to 80% domestic travel

Salary: up to £50k basic plus bonus


An industry-leading global organisation is looking for a dynamic and results-driven Field Sales Specialist to join its Abrasive Systems division. This role will focus on selling a premium portfolio of abrasive solutions, including coated, non-woven, and portable bonded abrasives, to industrial manufacturing businesses. You will cover South Wales and South West England, supporting end-users directly while working closely with channel partners.

This is a high-impact role suited to individuals with a field sales background, a passion for industrial solutions, and a proven ability to win new business and grow existing accounts.


Responsibilities:


  • Own and grow sales of the abrasive systems portfolio within the assigned territory.
  • Deliver market-leading productivity and safety solutions to end-users through technical product support and application knowledge.
  • Consistently meet or exceed sales targets by winning new business and expanding existing relationships.
  • Use Salesforce CRM to manage accounts, pipeline, and territory planning.
  • Collaborate with channel partners to deliver joint sales objectives and customer service excellence.
  • Support product demonstrations and hands-on training in customer environments.
  • Monitor competitor activity and share market intelligence with internal stakeholders.
  • Deliver reports and updates on pipeline health and customer interactions.


About You:


  • Field sales experience with a track record of both new business wins and account development.
  • Comfortable working in a technical, industrial B2B sales environment.
  • Previous use of CRM tools, ideally Salesforce.
  • Strong commercial acumen and the ability to build long-term relationships.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and time management skills.
  • Must already be based within South Wales or South West England.
  • Experience selling abrasive products or similar technical consumables into industrial manufacturing.
  • Ability to conduct product demos in metal fabrication or similar environments.
  • Experience selling via channel partners or distribution networks.
  • Familiarity with metal fabrication processes or other related sectors.
