Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled
Test Automation Engineer with strong expertise in
ETL testing, data validation, and SQL to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality and integrity of data through automated and manual testing processes and will work closely with data engineers, developers, and business stakeholders to deliver reliable data solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain test automation frameworks for ETL workflows and data pipelines.
- Perform ETL testing to validate data extraction, transformation, and loading processes across different systems.
- Conduct data testing to ensure data quality, accuracy, and integrity across source and target systems.
- Write and optimize SQL queries to validate large datasets and perform backend testing.
- Collaborate with data engineers and developers to resolve defects and improve data processes.
- Create and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts for data validation and automation.
- Work with large volumes of structured and unstructured data to perform analysis and ensure compliance with business requirements.
- Perform root cause analysis on issues found in production and recommend solutions.
- Document test results, defect tracking, and provide regular reports to stakeholders.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Proven experience in test automation for data workflows and ETL pipelines.
- Strong ETL testing skills with hands-on experience in tools like Informatica, Talend, or similar.
- Proficiency in SQL for complex data validation and backend testing.
- Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts, data integration, and BI processes.
- Knowledge of test management tools (e.g., JIRA, TestRail) and automation tools (e.g., Selenium, Python, or equivalent).
- Experience with large-scale data testing in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) is a plus.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with scripting languages (Python, Shell, etc.) for automation.
- Knowledge of API testing and integration testing.
- Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and version control tools (e.g., Git).
