We are seeking a Test Lead to join our dynamic team at Royal London. The Test Lead at Royal London supervises and manages system and acceptance testing within specialised teams or Agile squads. They ensure the integrity of testing activities, provide expert guidance, and define the test strategy. This role involves training, mentoring, and upskilling on all test processes, managing client relationships, and contributing to corporate testing standards. The position supports Royal London’s mission to enhance the mutual choice for customers.

About The Role
- Oversee and manage testing activities, including planning and execution.
- Ensure validation and verification early in the life cycle.
- Coordinate all activities during each testing phase.
- Investigate and recommend alternatives for testing processes, implementing improvements.
- Document and manage testing-related risks.
- Provide expert advice on test planning and execution.
- Organise and lead meetings and workshops with clients.
- Develop and implement automated testing strategies.
- Mentor Test Analysts and promote automation and other testing methods.
- Collaborate with non-functional performance and security testers.
- Define roles for new team members and organise their training and development as needed.
About You
- Understand the needs, objectives, and constraints of other disciplines and functions.
- Organise and document techniques and methods for structured development, adopting a Devops approach.
- Proficient in collecting, analysing, and applying historical test measurements and future estimations.
- Skilled in managing the testing process and executing tests throughout development projects.
- Proficient in assessing and managing business risks.
- Expert in standards, practices, and certification programs related to testing.
- Drive positive change within the test services community.
- Experience with applications, processes, or products that benefit the test team.
- Specialist knowledge in one or more functions, technologies, or automation tools.
- Experience in creating and delivering effective learning and development strategies, including using modern online resources.
