Job Purpose
We are seeking a individual to support our testing processes. The role involves preparing test samples, carrying out a range of testing operations, and accurately documenting results in line with established procedures and specifications.
Job Description
- Participate in activities associated with Health, Safety, and the Environment.
- Always adhere to relevant group policy initiatives.
- Assembly and recording of umbilical test samples and umbilical components including hose, cable, and fibre optic samples prior to test.
- Setup of test equipment and test rigs, including development and improvement implementation where required.
- Test and report findings of umbilical components, including hose, electric and fibre optic cables utilising appropriate equipment and procedures.
- Preparation and Termination of umbilical qualification samples.
- Install, instrumentation and calibrate umbilical samples in appropriate equipment.
- Test, monitor and report findings of umbilical samples utilising appropriate equipment, instrumentation, and procedures.
- Development of bespoke testing apparatus to suit testing requirements.
- To keep good housing keeping and participate in 5S principles and activities.
Essential
You are meant for this job if:
- ONC or equivalent in relevant discipline.
- General engineering background.
Desirable
- Experience of hydraulic and/or electrical testing
- Experience of relevant computerised systems. Ability to manipulate data within Microsoft Excel and generate graphical output.
- A background in data acquistion and familiarity of electronic test equipment, including data loggers, transducers and sensors.
