We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Test Technician to join our dynamic and skilled engineering team. If you are passionate and keen with hands-on technical work, and thrive in a varied, fast-paced environment, we would love to hear from you.

Role Overview
As the Test Technician you will be responsible for all testing activities, both CDS (Custom Design Solutions) and Partner Development Projects on our Toughbook products.

Our Toughbook’s are a range of rugged laptops and tablets designed and engineered to perform in the toughest conditions which we are proud to be market leaders in.

You will be required to use and maintain technical equipment to complete Toughbook testing on both in-house designs and partner solutions.

How you will become part of the bigger picture..
As part of our team, you will:

• Use technical equipment to test products to ensure performance, compliance, and consumer safety:
  - Run environmental tests (High, low, and Shock temperature tests; Humidity tests; etc.)
  - Run mechanical tests (Vibration, Drop, Shock, cycle Tests, etc.)
  - Run electrical tests (EMC, EMI, Etc.)

• Record and interpret test results
• Co-ordinate with external test partners when required
• Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain equipment and systems.
• Set up Part and Model Numbers
• Shipping of items as required
• Occasional support of Production (building units, etc)
• Continuously grow and focus on personal development using the Panasonic Leadership Principles

What you will bring to the picture..

• Experience in a similar role within a manufacturing/engineering environment with a minimum of 1 years past experience (desired)
• Excellent attention to detail
• Experience of using basic Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Ability to deliver accurate and articulate technical reports
• Excellent communication skills whilst dealing with a wide variety of people, including colleagues, customers, suppliers, and management.
• Full drivers licence required.

• Familiarity with automated production machinery and performing equipment testing on them
• Previous experience with technical reporting in a product testing environment
• Knowledge of Toughbook products and the accompanying ecosystem
• High self-motivation, optimism and determination to succeed
• A high degree of judgment and problem-solving capability

Contract Type: Permanent

Travel will be required (sometimes at short notice)
