Main duties of the job
An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Theatre admin team for a admin assistant. The post holder will provide comprehensive administration services as part of a small team of assistants. Detailed Job Description And Main Responsibilities
To undertake all reception duties including, answering telephones, answering bleeps for surgeons, taking and relaying messages for theatre and medical personnel within the department. Inputting data into the trust systems including eRostering and eCamis
Distribute the theatre operating lists within the department and prepare relevant paperwork ready for use by theatre/patient reception personnel, and ensuring eCamis is updated to reflect list running.
Typing and photocopying documents for various members of the theatre team including helping to support the department’s matrons, education team, operational managers, and information analyst.
Help maintain departmental records including annual leave, sickness and study leave records
Requisitioning stationery for the department
Any further duties required by the theatre management team
Shift patterns 07:30-18:00 3 days a week Monday-Friday

Qualifications, Knowledge And Experience
Essential criteria
- Good standard of education with literacy and numeracy skills to GCSE pass level 4-9 or equivalent standard
- NVQ 2 diploma or equivalent experience
- Experience of working in a customer led environment
- Competent in the use of Microsoft Office packages
- Evidence of computer literacy
Desirable criteria
- Courses/further study attended to demonstrate evidence of personal development
- Proficient in the use of hospital computerised patient systems
- Call handling experience
- Experience of working shifts.
