We are an elective surgical centre providing arthroplasty surgery, orthopaedics, general surgery, endoscopy and cataract surgery. The clinical departments include Outpatients, Day Surgery Unit, 30-bed Inpatient Ward, 4 Theatres, Endoscopy suite, Radiography, Physiotherapy and Pharmacy, with care provided by a multidisciplinary team.

What you'll be doing

To provide a professional and patient focused clinical and administration role supporting the clinical team within theatre under the direction of a professionally qualified member of the multi-disciplinary team for the duration of each shift.

You’ll help with collecting the patient, during their anaesthetic phase & whilst undergoing surgery.

You’ll be supporting the scrub team in preparing the appropriate kit & equipment & also ensuring the theatre environment is clean at all times. You will also help with stock control, organising equipment & audits.

What we'll look for in you

• Satisfactory Occupational Health clearance for the role.

Good attendance record.

Functional skills or equivalent

Educated to GCSE standard or equivalent

Desirable: NVQ Level 3 in Healthcare

Experience of caring for others in the healthcare sector

Ability to receive and communicate information accurately and take instruction from professional colleagues

Effective communication and interpersonal skills

Can respond to a demanding environment

Ability to deal with difficult situations in a calm manner.

Good keyboard and computer skills.

Numerate and literate
