Liverpool University Hospitals - Aintree site are looking to recruit full and part time Operating Department Practitioners and Registered Nurses who wish to develop their skills within the specialty of Head & Neck surgery. You will have drive and enthusiasm to become part of one of Europes biggest Head & Neck Centres which combines internationally recognised clinical, research and surgery strengths to deliver research-led improvements in the quality and safety of patient care.
Main duties of this post is for the area of Main B Theatres/Head & Neck Centre, although the Aintree site has 20 operating theatres across four departments which cover a wide variety of surgical specialties. The Trust is part of the Liverpool Head and Neck Centre (LHNC), Major Trauma Centre Collaborative (MTCC), a partnership between Liverpool University Hospitals and The Walton Centre NHS Foundation Trust and is the regional Major Trauma Centre for the North West, providing the full range of services and clinical expertise.
The post holders will need to be able to work as part of the multidisciplinary team helping to provide patients with the highest level of care as well as being able to work as an individual practitioner during their daily practice. As a single site major Trauma Centre for the North West we provide a 24/7 emergency service and staff will be required to participate in this cover when needed and upon reaching a level of competancy, to join the 'On Call' allocation which provides 24/7 emergency trauma surgery cover.
