Job Title: Locum Treatment Radiographer
Location: Birmingham
Contract Type: Locum
Pay Rate: £26–£30 per hour (PAYE, depending on experience)
Hours: Full-time preferred
Role Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Locum Treatment Radiographer to join a leading radiotherapy centre in Birmingham. This role offers the chance to work in a cutting-edge facility equipped with Elekta linear accelerators, MOSAIQ oncology information system, and advanced radiotherapy technologies including VMAT, IGRT, SABR, TomoTherapy, CyberKnife, and Image-Guided Radiotherapy (IGRT).
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver accurate and safe radiotherapy treatments in line with clinical protocols and patient care standards.
- Operate Elekta Versa HD and Infinity linear accelerators and manage treatment workflows using the MOSAIQ oncology information system.
- Perform daily QA checks and maintain adherence to radiotherapy safety and governance requirements.
- Collaborate with clinical, physics, and technical teams to ensure optimal treatment outcomes.
- Maintain accurate treatment documentation and contribute to service quality initiatives.
Essential Criteria:
- BSc (Hons) in Therapeutic Radiography or equivalent.
- HCPC registration (current).
- Recent experience as a Treatment Radiographer in a radiotherapy department.
- Proficiency with Elekta equipment and MOSAIQ software.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Desirable:
- Experience delivering advanced techniques such as IGRT, VMAT, SABR, and working with TomoTherapy or CyberKnife systems.
- Previous locum experience in an NHS or private setting.
