The Role:
Third Party Oversight Specialist is an experienced role with the responsibility to support oversight of Financial Crime activities performed on behalf of the Life business by TPAs/TAs to ensure they remain in line with financial crime expectations set in the Group 2LoD Third Party Risk Management Framework. This role offers the opportunity for a motivated individual to utilise their FC knowledge as they grow into a FC Reliance Oversight Specialist role within the 1LOD Governance, Reporting & Oversight Team
Main Responsibilities:
- Support the oversight of outsourced Financial Crime controls, including those performed by TPAs/TAs for all Life business units and products.
- Support the development and maintenance of governance frameworks, including Terms of Reference for TPA Financial Crime forums.
- Coordinate and participate in supplier governance meetings, driving accountability and continuous improvement
- Support the oversight of third-party Financial Crime policies, procedures, and controls align with M&G’s Financial Crime standards and regulatory expectations.
- Maintain robust records of TPA performance, identifying trends and areas for escalation.
- Review and challenge KPIs and MI submitted by TPAs, ensuring data integrity and actionable insights.
- Conduct thematic reviews on TPA activities (e.g., due diligence, screening).
- Escalate non-compliance or performance concerns to the Monitoring & Control Team Lead.
- Act as a key liaison between internal stakeholders and external TPAs to embed a strong compliance culture.
- Support the Governance, Reporting & Oversight Team Lead in driving the financial crime agenda across outsourced relationships.
- Contribute to the continuous enhancement of oversight frameworks and risk mitigation strategies.
Key Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
- Proven experience in financial crime compliance, ideally within a regulated financial services environment.
- Experience in financial crime assurance activities, including process and control testing.
- Understanding of outsourcing arrangements and third-party risk management desirable.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence at all levels.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret MI and identify emerging risks.
