Velcourt Wakerley is a 2,400Ha arable farming business based in Stamford, Lincolnshire. Farming for a number of landowners within a 25 mile radius, we are now seeking hardworking and enthusiastic harvest staff to assist us with the 2026 season. We operate two Claas Lexion combines, complemented by a fleet of the latest model Case IH tractors. You will be joining a small, close-knit team and as such, the ability to work both individually and as part of a team is essential. All positions are available from the start of July through to the completion of harvest, which is usually by early September.
Responsibilities for each role will include, though not limited to:
Tractor Driver/Corn Cart:
- Carting grain from the field to store.
- Moving combine headers between fields.
- Mowing environmental stewardship areas.
- Daily maintenance.
Telehandler Driver/Grain Stores:
- Operating grain drying systems.
- Pushing up grain in-store.
- Monitoring both intake and dried grain moistures.
- Accurate record keeping.
- Daily maintenance.
Both roles will include general farm work and estate maintenance tasks.
