Role Description

We are seeking a full-time Trade Maintenance Build Technician to join our team in Newcastle Upon Tyne. This on-site role involves performing a wide range of maintenance tasks, including repair work and carrying out installations to ensure store facilities are in excellent condition. The selected candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with health and safety standards, conducting proactive maintenance, and responding to reactive repair requests in a timely and efficient manner to minimize disruption to store operations.

Qualifications

• Technical Repair and Maintenance Skills: Experience in ground works, carpentry, tiling, and general maintenance tasks.
• Problem-Solving Abilities: Skilled in troubleshooting, diagnosing issues, and identifying efficient solutions for repairs.
• Strong Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues, contractors, and store management teams.
• Time Management and Organizational Skills: Capability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks, meeting deadlines while ensuring quality work.
• Health and Safety Awareness: Knowledge of workplace safety standards and practices to maintain safe working conditions.
• Relevant Certifications: Possession of relevant trade certifications (e.g., plumbing, electrical, or mechanical) is advantageous.
• Flexibility: Willingness to work on-site and respond to maintenance needs as required, including potential emergency callouts.
