Our client, a leading global commodities trading house, is seeking a Trade Surveillance Analyst to join their compliance team.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor trading activity and electronic communications to detect potential market abuse, manipulation, or other regulatory breaches.
• Conduct detailed investigations into alerts, escalating issues where necessary.
• Maintain and enhance surveillance tools, systems, and procedures to ensure effective risk detection.
• Liaise with compliance advisory, front-office, and operations teams to address findings and improve controls.
• Assist in preparing reports for internal stakeholders and, when necessary, regulatory bodies.
• Support the ongoing development of the firm’s surveillance framework in line with evolving regulations and market practices.

Requirements

• 2+ years’ experience in compliance surveillance within commodities, energy, or broader financial services.
• Experience using trade surveillance systems and interpreting market data.
• Strong analytical, investigative, and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
