NHS Wales - Trainee Clinical Scientists Genomics (route 2). The NHS in Wales is offering 1 salaried post-graduate training programme in Genomics for high-calibre science graduates who are passionate about science and its role in patient care.
The Trainee Clinical Scientist (route 2) will be employed by the host organisation for a fixed term of three years. During this time, they will work through a work-based programme of learning. This will be combined with following the Academy of Health Care Science Equivalence Pathway to achieve registered clinical scientist status.
AWMGS together with Cardiff University, Wales Gene Park, the Pathogen Genomics Unit (PenGU) and Welsh Government are working to deliver the Genomics for Precision Medicine Strategy for patients within Wales. This is a highly exciting and innovative strategy with opportunities for staff, patients, the public and healthcare professionals across Wales. Furthermore, the publication of the Genome UK has established the need for a unified approach to Genomics across all four nations.
