Royal London is seeking to hire a Trainee Data Engineer to design, develop and test simple solutions that meet business and customer requirements. You will apply your expertise using cutting-edge technologies, collaborate with a talented and supportive team, and play a role in unlocking the full potential of our data assets.
About The Role
- Develops simple solutions within own area of technical expertise or more complex solutions working to programme specifications.
- Conducts impact assessments on existing applications for simple change requests.
- Writes code that meets Group standards, guidelines and quality gates for given technology.
- Thoroughly tests all changes to ensure any issues are identified as early as possible.
- Collaborates closely with other members of the team.
- Contributes to Data Automation practice by sharing ideas.
About You
- Degree in Computing, Mathematics or Engineering
- Familiarity with Python or other programming languages used in data processing
- Ability to work as part of a team.
- Basic understanding of SQL
- Awareness of the full software development lifecycle.
- Awareness of agile development practices.
- Awareness of cloud data platforms
