Reporting to the Principal Design Services Engineer, the Trainee Design Services Engineer will be trained to carry out the design of signalised junctions and pedestrian crossings and associated equipment. Ideally based in the Midlands, this agile role offers a 50/50 split between home working and onsite presence once you have your Sector 8 in place.
What you’ll do:
- Preparation of technical designs of basic signalised junctions and pedestrian crossings in-line with approved design procedures
- Work with close supervision to undertake site surveys and MOVA cruise speed surveys
- Carry our design risk assessments and apply mitigations
- Follow site specifications for quality and accuracy
- Work with a minimal degree of supervision, with oversight focused only on new assignments
- Preparation of technical specifications and documents for basic signalised junctions and pedestrian crossings

- Requirement for Drug & Alcohol Testing for this role
- Full UK Driving Licence
