We are now recruiting a Trainee Field Project Coordinator based in Aberdeen to support our Field Services team in delivering high-quality, offshore and onshore projects for key clients.

You’re a confident, organised professional with a technical mindset and natural leadership ability. You thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and have experience coordinating field-based teams and technical resources. Whether managing offshore chemist deployments or ensuring the right kit and consumables are available, you’re someone who takes ownership, solves problems efficiently and drives service excellence.



Required skills and experience:


  • BSc in a science discipline or equivalent work experience
  • Offshore chemistry or microbiology experience
  • Strong technical knowledge of oilfield chemical/microbiological analysis
  • Demonstrable experience leading remote or field-based teams
  • Exceptional communication and leadership skills
  • Strong organisation and time management abilities
  • Excellent problem-solving capability
  • IT proficiency (MS Office and internal systems)
  • Flexible approach to working hours and offshore/onshore travel as needed



ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY


As a Trainee Field Project Coordinator, you’ll manage the successful delivery of ad-hoc and scheduled offshore/site-based scopes of work. From coordinating personnel and equipment to supporting training, project billing and reporting, you’ll work closely with internal teams and clients to deliver efficient, compliant, and high-quality field services.



Key activities:


  • Plan and coordinate equipment, consumables, and qualified field personnel for offshore/onshore projects
  • Prepare quotations, scopes of work, and accurate billing documentation
  • Maintain project records and database entries
  • Work with internal teams to ensure jobs are staffed, equipped, and billed correctly
  • Review and approve field reports, staff expenses, and client documentation
  • Assist with training, competency reviews, and succession planning for ad-hoc Chemists
  • Support the Head of Service in achieving KPIs, client satisfaction targets, and 5x5 Action Plans
  • Carry out client visits and support offshore projects as required
  • Monitor QHSE compliance and lead by example in all safety matters
