About The Role
As a Trainee in IT Operations within our Listed Derivatives Reconciliations team, you will play a vital role in supporting the smooth running of middle and back-office functions. You’ll help manage daily reconciliations, reporting, and client adjustments while working closely with various teams such as client-facing middle office and brokerage payables. This role is your gateway to understanding how technology and operations come together to support financial markets.
What You’ll Do
- Execute and monitor daily operational processes and reconciliations
- Support payment management and validation of payment runs
- Liaise with internal teams and external brokers to resolve issues
- Participate in projects across different business lines to broaden your knowledge
- Monitor key operational risk indicators and maintain awareness of risks to Société Générale and our clients
- Manage team communications and client offboarding processes

What We’re Looking For
- A degree graduate (minimum 2:1) with some practical exposure to derivatives or financial markets (internship experience preferred)
- Good basic knowledge of financial products and services, with a strong willingness to learn more
- Excellent numerical and analytical skills
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
- Ability to work independently, prioritise tasks, and proactively share ideas
- Good awareness of GDPR and confidentiality principles
