GES is currently recruiting for a dynamic Trainee Project Manager to join our Logistics team based near the NEC in Birmingham.
As part of the Project Management team, you will help deliver our logistics operation across our UK and European events. You will work with our project management team, lead your own assigned events within the company portfolio from concept through to completion and assist in the onsite management at each assigned event.

What will you do?
You Will
- Liaise with customers, processing their orders and working with suppliers to ensure efficiency and smooth delivery of all events.
- Working with our project management team to source hotels, travel and equipment hire for events.
- Assist and support the project management team to deliver consistent high-quality operations to position GES as the premier logistics player in the UK and overseas market
- Manage and provide effective support to Project Management Team at events where GES is appointed official supplier
- Assist the Import / Export team with collation of documentation from Customs Clearance.
- Ensure H&S regulations are adhered to and assist with the preparation of risk assessments and method statements.
What You’ll Need
You will be an enthusiastic individual with a willingness and ability to learn in a fast-paced environment with excellent communication skills. Travel within the UK and Internationally is required for the role, you will need to be available to work away from home for events.
You will need to be proficient in IT and have experience using different software. Any experience within Operations, Warehouse or Freight Forwarding would be advantageous, but not essential.

Salary
This is an entry level, full-time role offering a very competitive salary.
Hours of work
Normal working hours are Monday to Friday 8.30am – 5pm
You may be required to work evenings and weekends during busy periods to meet the demands of the business, including overseas travel as required.
Annual leave
Our holiday entitlement is 25 days per annum (plus bank holidays and statutory public holidays).
