Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role located in South Warwickshire for a Trainee Retinal Screener. The Trainee Retinal Screener will be responsible for performing eye examinations, capturing retinal images, and providing support to healthcare professionals. Daily tasks will include preparing and maintaining examination equipment, ensuring patient comfort and confidentiality, and accurately recording patient information. Training and support will be provided to ensure proficiency in retinal screening procedures.

Qualifications

Experience and qualifications within the healthcare sector is desired but not necessary. Just a willingness to learn!!

We’re looking for candidates who have:

• Basic understanding of eye health and anatomy, ability to learn new clinical skills
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
• Attention to detail, accuracy in record-keeping, and ability to follow protocols
• Basic computer skills and familiarity with medical imaging software
• Ability to work independently and as part of a healthcare team
• High level of professionalism, empathy, and patient-focused approach
• Relevant healthcare or medical background is a plus
• Commitment to continuous learning and professional development
