Training & Communications Specialist
Location: Leicestershire (Travel is required throughout the UK & Ireland)
Contract: Temporary until June 2026

If so, Next PLC is looking for a Training & Communications Specialist to join our team!
About the Role:
As a Training & Communications Specialist, you will play a key role in designing innovative learning programs that upskill our teams across Next and our Total Enterprise Platform (TEP) customers. You will ensure efficient use of our HR systems, delivering engaging training on topics such as Mental Health, Sickness Absence Management, and Resolution. From digital learning development to face-to-face training sessions, your work will support the business in fully utilising our HR operations platforms.
Responsibilities:
Design and Develop Digital Learning
- Develop, design and maintain digital learning solutions including E-Learning, video and print resources
- Manage online communities
Digital Adoption Platform (DAP)
- Develop and design simple in application guidance to provide just in time learning using the DAP by a variety of methods e.g. flows, help icons and pop ups.
Delivering Training
- Deliver face to face and virtual training sessions throughout Next and TEP to upskill our colleagues, managers, HR and Recruitment Teams to fully utilise our HR Systems.
- Deliver our HR training programme to our Retail colleagues. Adapt style to meet the needs of the audience, ensuring each colleague meets their learning needs.
Communication
- Support with the management of internal communication by developing and delivering well-executed and effective campaigns.
- Ensure consistency in terms of tone of voice, branding and messaging for Next and TEP Clients.
Project Management
- Work with different stakeholders within Next and TEP to ensure we are delivering a service that meets the needs of that area of the business.
Administration
- Support with the administration of training e.g. organising and distributing resources, booking venues
About you:
- Hold a Full UK Driving Licence
- Experience of working in a fast paced Retail environment
- Excellent communicator, both verbally and in writing
- Passionate about learning for colleagues
- Work collaboratively and influence others and stakeholders
- Excellent project management skills
- Plan, organise and prioritise own workload to meet deadlines
- Able to work under pressure and manage volume
- Experience of using Oracle HCM (NEP) as a Manager, HR or Recruiter User
- Knowledge and experience in designing learning interventions, delivering training and facilitating learning
- Frequent travelling, including to Next Head Office, Next Distribution Centre, Next Stores as well as to TEP clients
Desirable
- Experienced user of design software e.g. InDesign and Articulate Storyline
- Experienced user of digital adoption platform e.g. Oracle Guided Learning
- Experience user of Oracle HCM cloud
