To lead the Qualified Trainers in ensuring weekly paid employees and all agency operatives are trained to meet their job requirements and standards.
To provide Induction and Food Safety training on shift and audit the effectiveness of training by assessing Critical Control Point operatives and skilled training.
Shift: A and B shift: 223 shift pattern 06:00-18:00, Week 1 Monday, Tuesday, Friday and Saturday, Week 2 Sunday, Wednesday and Thursday.
Pay rate: £14.43 per hour
Permanent/full time contract with paid breaks.
Free bus from Sleaford, Lincoln, Boston and Grantham.
Duties/Responsibilities
- Conduct weekly paid inductions for relevant shift.
- Deliver the operative Food Safety training and maintain compliance against this aspect.
- Assess the effectiveness, through demonstrational assessment, of key skill training especially focusing on Delford and Process Controller training.
- Ensure the Learning Management System compliance is above 85% for the shift; this includes the removal of leavers, new starters entered, transfer/promotions capture for their shift and ensuring that the Line Trainers are focused on training plan delivery - this is a key role in
- Monitoring those employees used in “temporary” plus rate positions to ensure that they are trained.
- Conduct daily audits of colleagues that are in CCP positions to ensure that they are trained, thus reducing food safety risk and ensure customer audits compliance.
- Supervise Qualified Trainers to ensure greater support, guidance and instruction. This will include supervisory responsibilities.
- Point of contact, on shift, for management regarding ad hoc training requirements such a Technical or Health and Safety operative training (post incidents)
- Support the rappid deployment of training where a new SOP or work instruction is within the 30 day grace period on the LMS system.
- Review the SOPs, to ensure that our SOP’s are Health and Safety, Technically and Operationally aligned.
- Support the Performance Management process, especially focused on capability assessment (i.e. where an operative is underperforming for example a trusser who is unable to process 6 birds per minute - they will ensure that the Performance Management process is independently validated)
