What You Will Do

• Work as a key member of the deal team, coordinating and delivering advice
• Provide support to front line, credit and our customers on all aspects of the documentation process for commercial and corporate lending transactions
• Manage the deals from credit approval through documentation negotiation and drawdown working closely with stakeholders and external legal counsel
• Act as a referral point for colleagues and stakeholders, organize your daily workflow, and support the team in ensuring deals complete in an efficient and timely manner
• Support the project management of all aspects of loan execution process for complex transactions
• Proactively support the management of internal and external partners to completion - as part of the Transaction Management Team you are acting as an expert on documentation, security and due diligence relating to corporate and commercial loan applications, negotiating and agreeing terms in compliance with credit approvals and policy
• Provide proactive solutions to deals that snag, achieve credit acceptance on relevant issues, support and influence colleagues in the right way to make the right decision
• Be able to run independently to drive transactions forward to completion. Develop and maintain management information packs to track workflow and efficiencies

What You Will Need

• Strong background in Commercial, Corporate or Business banking
• Background in managing transactions from end to end, from sanction through to completion
• Understanding of lending, facility and security documentation (experience with LMA documentation is an advantage)
• Ability to deal with issues around statutory requirements and experience finding solutions to move towards satisfaction/drawdown
• Understanding of credit papers and strong knowledge of systems including T24 and CRM
• Experience managing complex relationships and providing solutions whilst protecting the bank (financial, regulatory or reputational)
• Experience reviewing and identifying issues on Head of Terms documents to streamline deal processing
• Understand the risks associated with your job and what that means for you, Metro Bank and all our stakeholders
