What You’ll Do
The Transfer Pricing Manager has responsibility, as part of a team, for managing the end-to-end transfer pricing of the Vodafone Group Service (‘VGS’) virtual organisation. This includes providing assistance and input from a transfer pricing perspective into the ongoing Group transformation projects while maintaining current transfer pricing documentation in VGS.
The role is critical for ensuring that all transfer pricing documentation is robust and prepared on a contemporaneous basis to support transparency with the Local Markets, cross border tax audits, M&A transactions, and to reduce Local Market challenge to the VGS Senior Finance Leadership Team.
The roleholder will also work closely with other Senior Tax Managers on international tax matters, including with the Senior Tax Transformation Manager where transformation involves the wider VGS organisation.
- Responsible for the end to end transfer pricing of the VGS organisation, to include researching, conducting, writing up and verifying functional analysis interviews in a timely manner, alongside the preparation of benchmarking and economic analyses, as required;
- Developing, maintaining and leveraging strong internal relationships with business units and internal organisations;
- Providing support and assistance with cross border tax audits in respect of the VGS organisation;
- Providing support on M&A transactions for the VGS organisation;
- Providing support on ad-hoc queries from the business and wider tax team in respect of VGS services
Who You Are
- Educated to degree level
- ACA/ACCA/CTA or equivalent professional qualification
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in international tax and / or transfer pricing
- Extensive knowledge of the OECD Transfer Pricing Guidelines;
- Transfer Pricing or international tax expert with at least 3 years’ experience
- Experience of Transfer Pricing compliance matters, including conducting and writing-up functional analysis interviews; strong benchmarking analysis skills and experience
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and ability to persuade and influence colleagues and build relationships across all levels of the organisation
- High level of IT skills, particularly Office365, CoPilot and PowerBI (desirable)
- Excellent organisational skills to manage and co-ordinate multiple priorities, and work under time pressure effectively whilst meeting project deadlines
- Highly motivated, and commercially-minded with the confidence and intiative to work on their own and as part of a wider team;
