About The Role
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Project Manager to join our Transformation team and be part of a strategic transformation programme.
The role requires expertise in project management, stakeholder engagement, and preferably experience within the UK pension and investments industry.
The successful candidate will be a key part of the planning and delivery of workstreams within the programme, to ensure that they are delivered on time, within budget, and with minimal disruption to the business and our customers.
This role will be on an initial 12-18 month fixed term contract basis.
Key Responsibilities
Project Planning and Strategy:
- Develop and own a comprehensive project plan, outlining key milestones, deliverables, and timelines.
- Ensure that the scope, objectives, and success criteria are tracked to and met.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Collaborate closely with internal teams, vendors, and third-party service providers to ensure alignment on project objectives and execute delivery.
- Provide regular updates on progress, risks, and issues, ensuring transparency throughout the project lifecycle.
- Facilitate updates and presentations to senior management and stakeholders.
Execution And Coordination
- Coordinate cross-functional teams to execute the project tasks effectively, including those from external vendors and third-party service providers.
- Ensure data integrity and security, and consumer duty remain central to the execution and delivery of the project deliverables.
- Oversee testing phases, system functionality testing, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
Risk Management
- Proactively identify and mitigate risks or issues that could impact project delivery, regulatory compliance, or client outcomes.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and effectively mitigate and manage risk impact to ensure successful project delivery.
Business And External Readiness
- Manage business readiness activities for some of the programme workstreams.
- Facilitate teams to ensure that communications (external and internal) are dealt with in a timely manner.
Post Go-Live Support
- Monitor and facilitate post go-live support for some of the programme workstreams to enable issues to be resolved promptly.
- Gather feedback from users to identify areas for improvement and implement necessary adjustments.
About You
Essential
Specialist Skills, Qualifications and Experience:
- Exceptional organisational and time management skills.

- Solution orientated and resourceful with strong problem-solving and analytical skills, always seeking ways to address challenges and move forward.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to focus on both the bigger picture and smaller details that matter.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders effectively with strong prioritisation skills.
- Resilience and adaptability in a dynamic and fast paced environment.
- Proven experience managing platform migrations and data migrations would be an advantage, ideally within the financial services or investment sector.
- Proven experience working with third-party service providers would be an advantage.
- Proficient in project management tools (e.g. MS Project, Jira).
Desirable
- PMP, PRINCE2, or similar project management certifications.
- ITIL or other relevant certifications.
