Transport Operations Manager

Location: Trafford Park Manchester (Hull 2 days each week)

£50,000 + Car Allowance | Full-time | Mon–Fri 07:00–17:00

We’re looking for a driven, hands on Transport Operations Manager to lead our Hull depot within a fast paced operational environment. This role will be operating between both Manchester and Hull depots on a weekly basis.

This is a key leadership role offering real ownership of transport performance, compliance, and continuous improvement.

You’ll be responsible for running a safe, efficient and customer-focused transport operation, ensuring full Operator Licence compliance, high vehicle standards, and a motivated, high-performing driver workforce. This role suits someone who enjoys being visible on site, solving problems, and driving standards on the ground.

What you’ll be doing

Leading day-to-day transport operations to deliver a reliable, cost-effective service in a fast-moving environment
Acting as the named Transport Manager, ensuring full legal and Operator Licence compliance
Managing drivers and fleet performance, including training, engagement, and continuous improvement

Overseeing vehicle roadworthiness, maintenance planning, and supplier relationships

Championing health, safety and compliance across the operation

What we’re looking for

Proven experience in a Transport or Logistics management role
CPC National & International qualification
Strong working knowledge of transport legislation and driver hours
Hands-on leader with excellent organisational and communication skills
Tanker experience desirable but not essential
IT literate with a full clean driving licence
