The Transport Services Team is responsible for the provision of transport to meet the Council’s passenger and fleet transport requirements.
We have a great opportunity to join the Team as a Transport Officer focusing on Contracts and Finance.
This role requires you to liaise with transport providers, parents, schools, and other professionals so you will need to demonstrate excellent communication and customer service skills. The successful applicant must be able to work on their own and as part of a team, manage their own workload in a continuously changing environment and our service requires you to be flexible to meet the demands during peak periods.
The Role Of The Transport Officer Includes
- Ensuring accurate invoicing and payment processes,
- Support the adherence to financial regulations and policies,
- Manage the tendering process for contracts, and,
- Ensuring compliance of contracted transport.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
- Proven experience in a finance role.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- A proactive and solution-focused approach, with the ability to work effectively under pressure.
- Knowledge of Public Sector Procurement.
