A leading challenger bank is seeking an experienced Treasury Accountant to support its finance and treasury operations during a key transitional period. This is a strategic interim role ideal for a qualified professional with deep expertise in liquidity management, regulatory reporting, and treasury accounting.

The Assignment

This 3-month contract offers the opportunity to work within a high-performing treasury function, providing hands-on support and strategic insight across cash flow forecasting, regulatory submissions, and treasury controls. The successful candidate will be instrumental in ensuring robust treasury operations and compliance with financial regulations.

Key Deliverables

• Daily and monthly cash flow forecasting and liquidity monitoring.
• Preparation of treasury-related regulatory returns (e.g., PRA, FCA).
• Accounting for treasury instruments including repos, derivatives, and investments.
• Support for ALCO reporting and treasury MI packs.
• Liaison with external stakeholders including auditors and regulators.
• Contribution to treasury policy updates and process improvements.

Candidate Profile

• ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified with treasury accounting experience.
• Strong understanding of banking treasury operations and regulatory frameworks.
• Skilled in financial instruments and liquidity risk management.
• Excellent analytical and communication skills.
• Available to start immediately or within short notice.
