The Role

The Treasury Manager will report into the Head of Financial Reporting & Treasury and will be responsible for managing the Group’s Treasury Team.

The role holder will be responsible for ensuring the Treasury team meet daily cash management deliverables as well as maintaining the timely resolution to Treasury mailbox enquiries and refund requests.

The role will be responsible for developing streamlined treasury transactional flows, improving financial visibility & maintenance of suspense account reconciliations and the reporting for Group cash flows.

Core Accountabilities

  • Reinforcing Treasury governance/controls and working to elimination of single point of reliance risk across the Treasury function
  • Developing a culture of anti-fraud awareness across finance/non finance teams
  • Devising and implementing improved treasury transactional flows and reconciliation processes
  • Management of Monthly Treasury Suspense Account Reconciliations across the Group
  • Consistent delivery of daily and monthly Treasury operational and reporting procedures
  • Efficient daily utilisation of the CAA’s group cash reserves
  • Management, training and development of early career Treasury assistants
  • Relationship building with key internal stakeholders across the business to improve understanding and accountability of Refunds and Payment reconciliation processes
  • Ownership of the CAA’s Refunds process
  • Management of NatWest, Cirrus and Worldpay relationships from a Treasury perspective
  • Monthly Cash Flow Budgeting, Forecasting and Reporting
  • Adhoc Treasury project work

About You

The following knowledge/experience is considered vital for the role:

  • Day to Day Treasury operations including cash flow management, payment processes & bank rec’s
  • Month end close processes/procedures
  • Reconciling high volume suspense accounts
  • Experience mentoring / coaching Colleagues
  • Communicating and collaborating with non-finance business stakeholders
  • Understanding of refund request/approval processes
  • Strong background in Excel and power functions

The Following Knowledge/experience Is Considered Desirable For The Role

  • AAT, CIMA or ACCA part/fully qualified
  • Experience in using SAP BusinessByDesign
  • Group cash reporting expertise
  • Experience line managing/developing team members

Additional Information

For many appointments within the CAA, these roles require access to operationally sensitive infrastructure and/or Nationally Protected information. For these roles the post holders must undergo National Security Vetting and achieve the appropriate level of clearance.

To be vetted we will usually expect a reasonable period of residency in the UK so that meaningful checks can be undertaken. For this role this will need to be 5 years.

Relocation & Property

The CAA will be relocating from Aviation House (Our Gatwick Office) to new premises in a few years’ time. Our move is driven by strategic, operational and environmental considerations.

We will be moving to a new local home, up to a 15-mile radius of Aviation House, to minimise disruption for our valued colleagues and customers.

We are now working with colleagues and visitors to understand what we need in our new office, before we start our property search. We will sell Aviation House and land, vacate the site and move to new premises, but we do not expect to move before 2028
