Job Overview

An IMT rotation in ICM, Respiratory and Oncology available to start from August 6th 2025. This post has become available at short notice due to a leaving doctor resulting in a rota gap. Applicants who can start after 6th August will be encouraged and considered on a case by case basis

First rotation is in ICM with subsequent rotations in Respiratory and Oncology.

Main duties of the job

Icu

Multiple training opportunities throughout the week including radiology meetings, ICU follow up clinic, FUSIC club, ICM teaching aimed at our resident doctors and management / leadership opportunities for our more senior trainees.

You will be expected to be responsible for your own learning by making full use of the tutorial system, access to academic staff and consultant's teaching and to attend as directed for training and in-service commitments.

Respiratory

Part of the respiratory clinical team with in-patient and out-patient responsibilities. This includes in-patient care, acute medical

admissions/out-of-hours general internal medicine shifts and a weekly out-patient clinics.

Medical Oncology

Care for patients undergoing varied, often complex treatments, and managing outpatients and admissions varying from life

threatening complications from cancer or treatment to end of life care.

learn about the multidisciplinary management of cancer through MDTs and outpatient clinics as well as gain valuable experience in radiotherapy, chemotherapy, clinical trials and palliative care from directed teaching and educational meetings.

  • Completed MBBCh or equivalent

Desirable criteria

  • MRCP / FRCA / MCEM exams or similar

Experience

  • Post foundation training

  • Experience working in the NHS
