An exciting opportunity has arisen for one Trust Doctor ST1 -2 to join the Hospital at home team at the RUH.
The post is for a period of 12 months in the first instance starting from August 2025
Main duties of the job
This post is for an ST1 – ST2 grade trust doctor for RUH Hospital at Home.
Starting as soon as possible this is a one-year post however shorter appointments within this period would be considered.
To provide expert assistance to the multi-disciplinary team in the provision of a high quality service to patients being cared for under Hospital at Home. The post holder is expected to participate in all aspects of the patient pathway as appropriate and will be expected to perform delegated duties with a high degree of clinical skill and knowledge, working remotely in a home setting.
You will be part of the multidisciplinary team arranging ongoing rehabilitation and discharge. You will be expected to have very good communication skills and communicate regularly with the MDT, patients and their relatives.
The post involves working standard days Monday to Friday with a requirement to work 1:4 weekends (time to be taken back during the week) Working hours will be 8am-6pm, however as the service expands there may be an expectation to work 10am-8pm shifts.

Qualifications
Essential criteria
- MBChB, MBBS or equivalent
Desirable criteria
- MRCP or equivalent ECDL/CLAIT
Clinical Experience
Essential criteria
- Completion of F1 training or equivalent Experience in inpatient geriatric Medicine Experience working in MDT and discharge planning
Desirable criteria
- Extensive experience in Geriatric Medicine including subspecialty and outpatient care.
