Automation Engineer (TypeScript | Cypress | Playwright | Appium)
Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated QA Automation Engineer to join our growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for building, maintaining, and scaling our automated test frameworks across web and mobile platforms using TypeScript, Cypress, Playwright, and Appium.
You’ll work closely with developers, DevOps, and product managers to ensure fast, reliable delivery of high-quality software in a CI/CD environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement end-to-end test automation for web and mobile apps
- Develop and maintain scalable automation frameworks using TypeScript
- Work hands-on with Cypress and Playwright for modern web UI testing
- Automate mobile testing with Appium across Android/iOS devices
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (e.g. GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Azure DevOps)
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define acceptance criteria and ensure test coverage
- Perform root cause analysis of defects and drive continuous quality improvements
- Monitor, debug, and report automation execution results.
Required Skills & Experience:
- 3+ years of experience in test automation for web and mobile applications
- Strong proficiency in TypeScript or JavaScript
- Hands-on experience with Cypress and/or Playwright
- Solid experience with Appium for mobile automation
- Familiarity with REST API testing and tools like Postman or Pact
- Experience with Git, test reporting tools, and CI/CD systems
- Knowledge of agile development, TDD, and BDD practices
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
