National grid is hiring a
UK Learning Design & Innovation Manager for our Group Technical Learning team.
You'll be accountable for leading and continued professional development of the UK Learning Design & Innovation team, responsible for the Design and Development of technical training curricula and innovative learning solutions to effectively meet the learning needs of the workforce.
This is a hybrid position and can be located at either Eakring, Tipton, or Taunton.
What You'll Do
You'll be accountable for ensuring technical training content is compliant with our internal Quality Management System, legislative/regulatory requirements, and company policies. Ongoing internal and external stakeholder engagement is essential to continue to leverage innovative technologies/approaches in learning to meet business units technical learning needs in a cost-effective manner.
You will..
- Lead a team that's accountable for UK technical learning content design, leading designers to create detailed course outlines and engaging learning content.
- Partner with internal customer groups and stakeholders, via Learning Councils and business unit forums to influence learning strategies.
- Be accountable for the evaluation of existing training programs to ensure continuous improvement and compliance with all regulatory, environmental, safety, and contractual obligations.
- Monitor and analyse performance and financial metrics and utilise data to make operational decisions required to ensure the success and effectiveness of own team.
What You'll Need
- Strong team management skills, with a proven ability to lead and develop a team of Learning designers.
- Extensive technical experience in the digital learning space, specifically in designing and developing technical training curricula and innovative learning solutions.
- Familiar with compliance requirements, including internal Quality Management Systems, legislative/regulatory standards, and company policies.
- Demonstrated success in engaging internal and external stakeholders to leverage innovative technologies and approaches in learning, with a focus on meeting business unit's technical learning needs in a cost-effective manner.
What You'll Get
A competitive salary between
£61,000 – 74,000 per annum – dependent on capability
As well as your base salary, you will receive a bonus based on personal and company performance and a competitive contributory pension scheme where we will double match your contribution to a maximum company contribution of 12%.
