Are you an experienced technical leader in the power sector looking for your next big challenge? Socomec UK is looking for a UK National Technical Manager to lead our technical team, support complex commercial projects, and drive innovation across our Critical Power, Energy Efficiency & Energy Storage solutions.
What You'll Do
As The UK National Technical Manager, You Will
- Provide expert technical support to our commercial teams across Critical Power, Power Control & Safety, Energy Efficiency, and Energy Storage sectors
- Manage and support a team of pre-sales and technical support engineers
- Influence key specifiers and end-users, converting them to Socomec solutions
- Collaborate with our global technical and R&D teams to ensure local standards, systems, and certifications align with UK requirements
- Represent Socomec in technical committees and associations to help shape local industry standards
- Lead training initiatives, support major bids, and ensure seamless project execution from design to delivery.

What We’re Looking For
- Degree-qualified (BSc, MSc, BEng, HNC) engineer with 10+ years’ experience in the power sector
- Strong technical understanding of electrical systems and project environments
- Proven experience working with consultants, end-users, and design & build contractors
- Skilled in technical proposal development, business case creation, and influencing decision-makers
- Confident communicator with a collaborative leadership style
- Experience managing teams and projects across multiple stakeholders.
Desirable Skills
- Advanced knowledge of technical specifications, wiring diagrams, and system design
- Project and team management skills
- Ability to influence and support the development of new product concepts
- Strong commercial and relationship-building abilities.
