An up and coming (but confidential) Lloyd's market insurance group is seeking a skilled Underwriting MI Analyst to join their Operations team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality MI and analytics to support underwriting and operational performance across both a Lloyd's Syndicate and a growing MGA platform.

About the Role:

As the Underwriting MI Analyst, you'll be responsible for developing and maintaining insightful dashboards and reports, primarily in Power BI, that drive data-informed decision-making. Working closely with Underwriting, Operations, IT, and Data teams, you'll ensure timely, accurate, and accessible reporting while contributing to the evolution of the group's data strategy and governance framework.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, build and maintain Power BI dashboards to support portfolio management.
• Translate business needs into clear, actionable data insights.
• Support internal and external reporting, including regulatory submissions (e.g. Lloyd's PMD).
• Contribute to the development of data catalogues and governance initiatives.
• Collaborate with data engineers and stakeholders to define best practices in reporting.
• Gain a deep understanding of underwriting data and insurance systems.

What the Client is Looking For:

• Proven experience in Power BI (including DAX, SQL, and Power Query).
• Strong analytical and organisational skills, with attention to detail.
• Ability to communicate technical information clearly to non-technical audiences.
• Familiarity with Lloyd's/London Market insurance operations.
• Understanding of data governance and regulatory requirements.
• Proactive mindset with the flexibility to adapt in a dynamic environment.
