The Opportunity:
A leading multi-disciplinary consultancy is seeking an experienced Urban Designer to join its expanding design team. The role offers the chance to work on a range of master planning and placemaking projects across the UK, including new settlements and residential neighbourhoods.
This is a great opportunity for a design-led, technically proficient individual looking to develop their career within a collaborative, forward-thinking team environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and support the production of strategic masterplans and urban design frameworks
- Prepare vision documents and planning application material
- Liaise and collaborate with multidisciplinary consultant teams
- Produce high-quality graphic and written outputs
- Coordinate design work across a variety of projects and scales
- Contribute to internal design reviews and project development workshops
About You:
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in urban design or master planning within the UK
- Postgraduate qualification in Urban Design (UK-based education essential)
- Background in architecture (preferred but not essential)
- Experience supporting or leading on site promotion and outline planning submissions
- Strong graphic, verbal, and written communication skills
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, AutoCAD, and SketchUp
- Hand drawing skills an advantage
- Eligibility to work in the UK
