The successful candidate will be at the heart of our operations, responsible for maintaining data integrity, managing the seamless flow of information into our underwriting systems, and confidently supporting the team by interacting with brokers and clients. Role Accountabilities

  • Support underwriters in their efforts to build complete and accurate electronic underwriting files for each opportunity, ensuring all necessary documentation is present or followed up on as needed.
  • Assist in collating, cleansing, and analysing data to support the refinement of rating models and the creation of high-quality Management Information (MI) reports.
  • Provide proactive administrative support to the underwriting team to ensure an efficient workflow, with opportunities over time to liaise with brokers and attend client meetings.
  • Any additional duties as assigned.

Role Requirements

  • A strong academic background, typically as a recent graduate with a degree in an analytical, business, finance, or related discipline.
  • A demonstrable and genuine interest in the financial services or insurance industry, with a clear ambition to build a long-term career in underwriting.
  • A "roll-up-your-sleeves" attitude, with a full understanding that the initial 12-24 months will be focused on essential administrative tasks as a foundation for your career.

Skills and Abilities

  • Highly organised with excellent time management skills; able to manage and prioritise multiple tasks effectively in a busy environment.
  • A proactive and inquisitive mindset, showing the initiative to solve problems and the curiosity to ask questions to deepen your understanding of the underwriting process.
  • Strong IT skills, with high proficiency in the MS Office suite (particularly Excel) and a keen interest in emerging technologies and their application in insurance, such as AI.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal), with the confidence and potential to develop into a client-facing role.
