Description
We are seeking an experienced US Tax Senior to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in US tax laws and regulations, tax planning, compliance and client management. As a Tax Senior, you will work on a portfolio of US clients and be involved in tax projects, provide strategic tax advice, be involved in compliance processes, and foster strong client relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Work on a portfolio of US clients: be involved all aspects of the tax compliance and wider relationship management.
- Prepare and review US tax returns.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, providing proactive tax advice and addressing their needs in a timely and professional manner.
- Support Manager and Director in providing market-leading advice to US connected clients in the UK.
- Ability to manage workload to ensure timely completion of deliverables.
- Provide technical guidance and training to more junior staff.
- Work collaboratively with the wider tax team.
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
- US Enrolled Agent (EA) is not essential but preferred.
- Previous experience in US tax compliance and advisory services in partnerships and corporate tax, including PFIC analysis, Forms 1065, 1120, 5472 and 8865 preferred but not required in all areas.
- UK tax technical knowledge is preferred but not required.
- In-depth knowledge of US compliance requirements.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve tax issues.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with clients and team members at all levels.
