Job Title: SC Cleared User Researcher
Location: Hybrid (occasional travel to local hub)
Duration: Initial 4 months
Rate: £450pd inside IR35
We require an experienced User Researcher to help us deliver on one of our Government projects.
Strong background in delivering research for central government departments and a thorough understanding of Government Digital Service (GDS) standards in essential.
You will be working on high-profile digital services that impact citizens across the UK.
- Plan, design and conduct user research to understand user needs and behaviours
- Analyse findings and provide actionable insights to inform service design and delivery
- Work closely with designers, product managers, developers and other stakeholders
- Ensure research aligns with GDS service standards and contributes to successful service assessments
- Advocate for user-centred design principles throughout the project lifecycle
- Proven experience conducting user research within a UK central government setting
- Strong knowledge of GDS service design and assessment processes
- Proficiency in both qualitative and quantitative research methods
- Ability to present research findings clearly to non-technical audiences
- Experience working in Agile multidisciplinary teams
- Experience supporting services through GDS Alpha, Beta and Live phases
- Familiarity with accessibility and inclusive research practices
