About Skyscanner

Everyone loves travelling, but planning is not without its challenges. That's why we've spent 20 years building tools that turn travel-planning chaos into a breeze. Today, around 100 million travellers count on us every month to skip the whole “47 browser tabs open” phase and find flights, cars, and hotels quickly and easily.

Joining Skyscanner means becoming part of a global brand that's striving to become the planet's go-to travel hack accessible for all.

Our vision? To be the world's number one travel ally. (Ambitious? Yes, but, hey, that's what got us here).

Now, we’re on the lookout for a Product-Focused User Researcher (Mixed Methods) — Skyscanner CX Team, to help us bring that vision to even more travellers.

About The Role

(Hybrid)

At Skyscanner, we're on a mission to shape the future of travel — and we believe deep user understanding is the foundation of every successful product. We're looking for a Product Researcher with a strong mixed-methods background to join our growing Customer Experience (CX) team and embed user insight at the core of product development.

As a member of our collaborative and fast-paced environment, you'll partner with senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams to generate actionable insights that shape product strategy, inform roadmaps, and drive innovation across our Accommodation, and Cars experiences.

What You’ll Be Doing

You will report to the Senior Research Manager for our Meta vertical (Flights, Accommodation, and Cars) and your work will directly influence the design and evolution of our products. Your core mission:

  • Lead end-to-end product research initiatives using qualitative and quantitative methods such as usability testing, user interviews, surveys, diary studies, and workshops.
  • Translate user insights into clear, actionable product recommendations that influence strategic decisions, feature prioritization, and roadmap planning.
  • Work closely with Product Managers, Designers, Engineers, and Data Scientists to shape hypotheses, identify user problems, and validate solutions at every stage of development.
  • Collaborate with Analytics and Market Intelligence teams to triangulate user behavior, usage data, and emerging trends.
  • Help teams measure and monitor user impact over time — from launch through optimization — and ensure continuous learning loops are in place.
  • Champion the user's voice across the product lifecycle, advocating for evidence-based decisions, scalable improvements, and sustainable growth.

About You

  • You bring proven experience conducting product research in fast-moving, high-impact environments (e.g., tech, ecommerce, travel).
  • You’re confident designing and executing research that informs everything from strategic bets to tactical execution.
  • You thrive at translating complex user needs into compelling narratives and recommendations that resonate with product teams and executives.
  • You’re comfortable working in ambiguity, proactively identifying research opportunities and advocating for them with influence.
  • You have strong communication and presentation skills, and can tailor insights for different audiences — from designers to C-level stakeholders.
  • You have a deep curiosity about how users behave, think, and feel — and a strong grasp of how that translates into product success.
  • A growth mindset, collaborative spirit, and strong product intuition are second nature to you.
  • Bonus: experience in travel tech or ecommerce and familiarity with experimentation frameworks, A/B testing, or metrics-driven development.

What You’ll Get

  • A collaborative, supportive team that values research and its impact on the traveller experience.
  • The opportunity to shape real product decisions used by millions of travellers.
  • Room to experiment, stretch your skills, and grow within a team that champions continuous learning.
  • A hybrid, flexible work model based around our UK and Barcelona hubs — typically two days in the office per week.

This role is a great fit for a researcher who wants to move the needle on real product outcomes, influence at scale, and help build experiences travellers love.
