Vendor Manager

Role Purpose

The Partner & Distribution Manager is responsible for managing day-to-day relationships with a broad portfolio of IT vendors and distribution partners.

These include:

• Strategic Partners: Leading global tech companies known for infrastructure, cloud, and software solutions
• Growth Partners: Fast-scaling cybersecurity, cloud, and data management providers
• Ecosystem Partners: A mix of storage, virtualization, backup, and enterprise software vendors
• Key Distributors: Major IT distributors enabling product access, pricing support, and logistics

This role is instrumental in driving the success and growth of the Infrastructure, Data & Security business unit across the UK and Ireland. It involves working closely with internal teams and partner stakeholders to manage contracts, secure rebates and training, coordinate joint business plans, and ensure optimal partner performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the main point of contact for strategic vendors and distributors
• Support deal registration, escalate issues, and monitor performance against targets
• Coordinate pipeline reporting, QBRs, and partner performance reviews
• Track partner accreditations, certifications, and training requirements
• Develop internal and external materials on partner ecosystems and offerings
• Collaborate with internal sales, marketing, operations, and technical teams
• Monitor industry trends and emerging technologies to identify growth opportunities
• Optimize financial incentives via rebates, MDF programs, and vendor initiatives

Required Experience

• 5+ years of experience in a technology-driven organization in either technical or business roles
• 3+ years of experience in a partner/channel management role, ideally with both vendors and distributors
• Strong understanding of the VAR/channel ecosystem and procurement processes
• Comfortable working with commercial metrics (bookings, revenue, margin)
• Effective communicator with strong relationship-building skills
• Experience supporting bids, tenders, and vendor-related RFP processes
