About the Role:

We are seeking a highly creative and detail-oriented Venue Dresser / Set Dresser to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for transforming spaces and a keen eye for aesthetics. You will be responsible for the creative and physical installation of set designs, decorations, and props for a variety of events, including corporate functions, weddings, festivals, and theatrical productions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Work closely with the design team to understand and execute event concepts and design briefs.
• Prepare, organize, and transport decorative elements, props, furniture, and materials to event sites.
• Set up and style venues and sets according to the specified design plans, which may include lighting, drapery, floral arrangements, furniture placement, and prop staging.
• Ensure all installations are completed to a high standard, on time, and within budget.
• Troubleshoot any on-site issues and make creative adjustments as needed while maintaining the integrity of the design.
• Supervise and coordinate with on-site crew and contractors.
• Dismantle and pack down sets and decorations efficiently and safely after the event.
• Maintain and organize inventory of props, materials, and equipment.
• Adhere to all health and safety regulations during set-up and dismantling.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Proven experience in venue dressing, set dressing, event design, visual merchandising, or a related field.
• A strong portfolio showcasing previous work is a significant advantage.
• Excellent creative and artistic skills with a strong understanding of color theory, texture, and spatial awareness.
• Ability to read and interpret design plans, floor layouts, and technical drawings.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively under pressure.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• A valid driver's license and access to transport may be required.
