Veterinary Receptionist
Location: Folly Gardens Veterinary Clinic
Job Type: Permanent, Part-time
Hours: 22.125 - 32.125 hours per week. Hours will consist of 2 x 10 hour days working from 8am - 7pm (Monday & Friday), 2 x 4 hour days 8am-12pm OR 3pm-7pm and one Saturday in four working from 8am – 5pm
We have an exciting opportunity for a Veterinary Receptionist at our Bishops Cleeve Clinic.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and dynamic individual who can demonstrate an ability to work under pressure in a busy environment whilst maintaining a warm smile. The successful candidate will provide the best service and care to clients and patients alike. You must be service focused with previous customer service experience, along with a love for animals, strong stomach and emotional grounding to manage the highs and lows of the role.
Roles and responsibilities:
Folly Gardens are a three-branch practice in and around the Cheltenham area. Our Bishops Cleeve clinic continues to grow and offers a wide variety of first opinion services to the pets of Bishops Cleeve and Cheltenham. Our main clinic based in Tewkesbury offers more advanced procedures, including orthopaedic and soft tissue surgeries, ophthalmology and diagnostic referrals as well as CT scanning.

- Demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills through this customer facing role
- Greet owners and their animals on arrival to the clinic
- Answer the telephone promptly and professionally
- Maintain a welcoming environment throughout the clinic by carrying out cleaning duties and update displays.
- Navigate a computerised practice management system (Windows based, training will be provided)
- Assist with stock management
- Miscellaneous administration tasks (i.e. filing, banking, on line registrations, liaising with external companies,email management)
- Provide basic animal welfare needs to visiting patients
