Description
We have a fantastic opportunity available for a receptionist to join our Zetland Vets team, working across our Westbury Patchway branches! This is a fixed-term contract, expected to last around 12 months.
You will be the first point of contact for clients and the public both on the telephone and in person. Demonstrating a professional and knowledgeable impression to promote the Practice and give confidence to our clients.
A team of 17 vets will welcome you, 15 nurses across 8 sites in Bristol, many of whom have been with the practice for more than a decade. We are RCVS-accredited veterinary practice, where we take pride in delivering exceptional care to both our patients and clients.
Your shift pattern
You will work the following hours each week, totalling 31.5 hours:
Monday: Westbury, 1:30 PM – 6:45 PM
Tuesday: Patchway, 8:30 AM – 2:00 PM
Wednesday: Patchway, 2:30 PM – 6:45 PM
Thursday: Westbury, 1:30 PM – 6:45 PM
Friday: 8:30 AM – 6:45 PM
Saturday: One in every four Saturdays at our main hospital on Zetland Road, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM

- Check/update vaccine/contact details upon each visit or during each phone call
- Organise appointment diary as efficiently as possible to maximise clients seen
- Actively promote Pet Healthcare Plans and pet insurance
- Ensure clients pay for services on day of treatment
- Keeping the reception area clean and tidy, especially ready for the next working day
- Adhere to all practice/reception policies/procedures to always ensure an excellent level of customer service to our clients
