Joining the team at Kingfisher Veterinary Practice

We are looking for a Veterinary Surgeon to join our first opinion small animal practice in the beautiful Somerset countryside. We can offer a competitive salary, CPD allowance, with a 4 day working week, no night duties, and friendly, supportive staff. Some experience is preferred but a motivated recent graduate would be considered. Accommodation is available if required.

• A 4 day working week, with hours to suit you, school hours? no problem!
• Supported by our friendly and dedicated team of 18 RVN and 2 SVNS
• Minimal inpatient care, and no OOH
• Supported by Coombefield Veterinary Hospitals, allowing for even more opportunities
• Enjoy a mix of consult and surgery, or consult only – we can adapt the role to your interests!
• Crewkerne is our main hub, with 2-3 vets daily, a large amount of ops and dentals taking place
• Opportunities to mentor junior staff and support our new graduates

Our location and practice

Our four branch practice is in rural Somerset with beautiful scenery and the Jurassic coastline within easy reach with transport links via motorway and rail. Other equipment includes video endoscopy, tonometry, digital dental X-rays, and ultrasound scanners. Advanced orthopaedic surgery is available to our clients via a visiting specialist and we have certificate holders in ophthalmology and surgery within our team of experienced vets.
