We’re seeking a future team member for the role of Vice President II, Data Privacy to join the Global Privacy Office team. This role is hybrid (4 days in-office), located in Manchester or London.
In this role , you will make an impact in the following ways:
- Support the Chief Privacy Officer and Global Privacy Office Directors to operationalise the Bank’s data privacy strategy and management framework
- Provide privacy subject matter expert (SME) support to the business to help them fulfil their regulatory and organizational requirements to protect personal information and uphold the privacy rights of clients and employees, while enabling innovation
- Design, develop, enhance and operationalize enterprise-level data privacy policies/procedures, processes and controls. Key focus areas include privacy impact assessments and privacy regulatory change implementation.
- Support the deployment of data privacy management technology and tools (automation) to enhance data privacy controls
- Work with key stakeholders (e.g. Legal, Compliance, business, technology) to implement regulatory compliance initiatives
To be successful in this role, we’re seeking the following:
- Bachelors or advanced degree (JD or MBA) or the equivalent combination of education and experience
- Experience in a data privacy role
- Understanding of key data privacy laws in EMEA and APAC (e.g. General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulation (PECR), Personal Information Protection Law (PIPL), Digital Personal Data Protection Act (DPDPA)
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and changing requirements
- Team player with an open and collaborative approach to delivering required outcomes
- Financial services industry experience, data privacy certification(s) (e.g. CIPP/E, CIPM, CIPT) and/or Global privacy program experience
