Altus Partners is delighted to be supporting a leading European private equity firm as it expands its UK investment team. This is a rare opportunity to join during a pivotal growth and build phase, working directly with highly respected investors within a team known for its low-ego, collaborative culture and long-term approach to value creation.

The role sits within one of their key strategies, focused on UK-headquartered businesses across services companies. The fund typically invests up to 100m of equity into market leaders, backing operational transformation and international growth. The team is actively deploying capital and preparing for its next fundraise.

This is an outstanding opportunity for an ambitious private equity professional looking to take on broad investment responsibility, from origination through to execution and portfolio value creation, within a supportive and entrepreneurial environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Source and originate investment opportunities across the UK in targeted sectors.
• Lead and manage deal execution, including commercial assessment, structuring, and due diligence.
• Support portfolio companies post-investment, helping shape value creation plans and driving strategic initiatives.
• Contribute to the development of investment strategy and internal best practices.
• Work closely with colleagues across the UK and Europe to maximise deal flow and share insights.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

• A strong track record in private equity (3 years+) and a background in practice or investment banking prior to this.
• Exposure to industrials, business services, or healthcare is preferred.
• A team-oriented mindset, with the ability to work collaboratively and contribute to a high-performance culture.
• Strong financial modelling and deal structuring skills, combined with sound commercial judgement.
• Excellent communication skills and the confidence to build trust with founders, management teams, and advisors.
